Kiln
Kiln turns a topic into a short vertical explainer on a burnt-orange drafting-table grid with soft blinds shadows: big editorial serif captions with one italic word, hard-edged flat-shaded 3D geometry (sliced cubes, stepped pyramids, columns), and dashboards tilted in real 3D. Everything arrives with explosive expo-out motion over dry, percussive sound. Claude invents visuals for each topic (a 3D shape, a scene type or a sound) and renders the MP4 with sound effects on your own computer, with no API keys.
Good for / less suited for
- "How does it work?" engineering, architecture and mechanism explainers built from blocks, layers and parts
- Software, data and product-feature intros shown as tilted 3D dashboards and cards
- Bold, punchy brand or process shorts that need a confident editorial look in 10–15 seconds
- Calm, soft wellness or nature content
- Realistic 3D product shots (Kiln builds geometry and interfaces, not product models)
- Long tutorials with many exact UI steps

How to use it
Step by step (new to Claude Code)
- Install Claude Code and sign in with your Claude account.

~/.claude/skills/kiln). - Restart Claude Code so it picks up the skill.
- Ask: “Use the Kiln skill to make an explanation video about <your topic>.”
- Review the script Claude proposes, then let it render the scenes.
- Finish the steps under “Before you export” below.
Quick start (already use skills)
Copy the install prompt, paste it into Claude Code, give it a topic.
